Bain, son of Bard, is a character appearing in Peter Jackson's film adaptations of J.R.R. Tolkien's *The Hobbit*. He first appears in *The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug* (2013).

Bain is depicted as a young boy assisting his father, Bard the Bowman, a bargeman in Lake-town. He is involved in his father's efforts to warn the town of the dragon Smaug's impending attack.

He is portrayed as resourceful and loyal to his father, actively helping him during the chaos and destruction wrought by Smaug.
